Plan formulation and Monitoring of District Level Plan Schemes.

 Co-ordination and Monitoring of MPLAD Schemes.

 Co-ordination and Monitoring of WGDP

 Monitoring of Centrally Sponsored Programme like RGNDWM, SCA to SCP, TSP, JAPAN

       DWP,TRP etc.

 Co-ordinating programmes like Akshaya Projects

 Arranging training to resources persons and elected members of local bodies with the

       assistants of KILA and IKM.

 Act as Secretary/Joint Secretary/ convener of District Development

       Committee(DDC),District Planning Committee(DPC),District level Review

       Committee(DLRC) etc.

 Conduct studies on development issues and problems of the district.  Remarks and

       suggestions are offered to Govt. on matters that require policy decision of Govt.

 Asst. Returning Officer to Election to House of Parliamentary  Constituencies

 Returning Officer to Election to Legislative  Assembly Constituencies

 Managing funds given for various office expenses and plan programmes.

 Deals with any subject which is authorized by Govt,  State Planning Board or District

       Collectors.

 The District Planning Officer being Ex - Officio P.A to District Collector, attend /conduct

       committees related to different development sectors and subjects  in a district. 

 Prepare special projects for the District whenever, such funds are received from

       Central Govt. or other agencies.

 Preparation of District Plan by consolidating the plans of the local body every year.
